Athletic Director Bob Maloney announced that the following Medford athletes were named Greater Boston League All-Stars for the Spring 2008 season:

Baseball
Danny Gunn, sophomore catcher
Ian Fitzgerald, sophomore pitcher
Ben Waldrip, senior pitcher and first base

Softball
Kim Perrault and Nicole LoPilato

Boys Outdoor Track
John Beckshaw and Phillip Galebach

Girls Lacrosse
Jill Winnett, senior attack
Paige McGlynn, senior defense
Michela Pothier, senior midfield

Boys Lacrosse
Vinny Albano, senior midfield
Mike Agostino, senior defense

In other Mustang sports news, congratulations to senior John Beckshaw and junior Philip Galebach for their performances in the boys’ 2-mile run at Saturday’s MIAA Track and Field Championships. Galebach finished in third place with a time of 9:36.71 while Beckshaw was 20th with a time of 10:27.23.  Galebach will compete in the All-State meet this weekend.
