City Council to Discuss Website; Water, Sewer Rates

Medford City CouncilThe Medford City Council will tackle several issues in a couple of meetings on Tuesday night.

First, the Council’s Sub-committee on Audit, Budgets, Finance, and Taxation will meet at 6PM in Room 207 at City Hall to discuss the audit of the city’s water and sewer account following a $3.2 million deficit.

The Sub-committee is chaired by City Councilor Robert Maiocco and includes councilors Paul Camuso and Frederick Dello Russo, Jr. City Auditor Anne Baker, City Engineer Cassandra Koutalidis, and members of the Water and Sewer Commission will also be at the meeting.

The Council will hold its regular meeting at 7PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall. City Councilor Michael Marks has offered two provocative resolutions: one requesting the city create an online service that lets residents ask questions and request services directly to the appropriate employee and department and that tracks the responses, and another suggesting the city set aside 2% of all public parking spots for hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles.
