Police Hockey Tourney to Raise Money for Foster Kids

The Medford Police Hockey team will be playing the Malden Magic Hockey team in a fundraiser game at the Loconte Rink in Medford on Friday, March 14, at 7PM. The proceeds from this game will go to benefit the Department of Social Services foster children and foster parents.

The Medford Police Athletic Club is making a $2,500.00 donation above and beyond what is raised by this hockey game. This check will be presented to DSS representatives before the game. The Medford Police Child Protection Safety Seat Unit donated 5 car seats to DSS. The Medford Police Honor Guard will post the colors during the singing of the National Anthem. The National Anthem will be sung by a Medford High Student. The head of the Massachusetts Department of Social Services will be the honorary coach of the DSS team. A representative from the Medford Police Department will drop the puck for the start of the game.
