Winter Storm Watch for Medford, Area

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Medford and the surrounding area due to a snow storm expected to hit Friday afternoon.

The watch is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon. Snow is expected to start falling by late morning and will get heavier throughout the afternoon, and will pose problems for the Friday afternoon commute.

The snow will continue to fall Friday night and should taper off by midnight. Medford could see 6 inches or more of snow on the ground by early Saturday morning.

A snow emergency has been declared from noon time Friday until further notice in Medford.  Cars are not allowed to park on certain streets that are considered emergency arterties in Medford during snow emergencies- click here for a list of streets.
