Nor’easter to Bring Sleet, Freezing Rain to Medford Sunday

– Allison Goldsberry

A Nor’easter with wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour will bring sleet and freezing rain to Medford on Sunday and is expected to cover the recent snow with a quarter to one-third of an inch of ice.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory and a wind advisory for Medford and the surrounding area from 1AM to 9PM Sunday.

Snow and sleet accumulation will range from 2 to 5 inches, with precipation slowing down into the afternoon. While accumulation will be light, icing will make travel difficult and could cause scattered power outages.
