The Medford City Council will hold a subcommittee meeting at 6PM Tuesday in addition to their regular 7PM meeting.

The Subcommittee on Zoning and Ordinances will hold a public meeting in Room 207 to discuss the process of cutting down public trees. Public Works Commissioner Paul Gere is expected to attend the meeting.

According to Councilor Stephanie Muccini Burke, a member of the subcommittee, ideas will be discussed at the meeting that could eventually lead to the creation of a new city ordinance.

The meeting was called after a resident spoke before the Council in October about cutting trees down in the city.

The Council has only one item listed on the agenda for their regular meeting, a resolution by Council President Robert Maiocco requesting Comcast to provide service to all buildings in Medford Square.
