The following was submitted for publication by City Council candidate Mark Arena:

I want to thank the voters of this community for their support of my candidacy for the Medford City Council. Although I fell short of my goal of election, the campaign was a positive experience, one that I look to build upon for the future. I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the work of my campaign committee led by my chairman and friend Joseph McGonagle and members Camille Bardaro, John Baronian and John Zamparelli. I am grateful for the unwavering support of my family; my wife Laurie, and my children Miranda, Marissa and Anthony, as well as my parents Anthony and Norma Arena.

Most importantly, thank you to the citizens of Medford for your participation on Election Day. I am truly humbled.

Best wishes.
